Ari's Bio

Ari Dvorin was born with musical fever.  At the early age of eight, he began formal music studies that subsequently led him on a multi-path, sound-driven journey.  A seasoned multi-instrumentalist, Ari’s creative blends draw inspiration from a slew of global sounds creating an upbeat and contagious fusion.

From his childhood in the Middle East to stints in New York City and Colorado, Ari’s musical journey continued with the pursuit of more intensive studies – further bolstering his arsenal of sound.  Ari's talent soon caught the interest of Latin dance sensation Cabaret Diosa, who recruited him as “Arturo El Gigante Sabado,” principle saxophonist.   Granted ‘family’ status, he continues to collaborate with the group whenever he finds himself back in the Centennial State.

A natural transition for the musically inclined, Ari relocated to Austin in 2004, to further make his mark.  He declared the city ‘home’ and gained popularity while performing with a selection of Austin's top musicians including Cyril Neville, Marcia Ball, Bob Schneider and Ephraim Owens.   The rich talent pool and budding relationships provided inspiration and connection – steering Ari through the next chapters, creating The Lowdown and his most recent ensemble, funk-trio Boogaloo.

Ari’s musical collaborations draw no boundaries. He continues to pursue his musical quests while performing with many of the country’s finest musicians.  He has worked with world class acts including New York City's Tito Puente and Latin Orchestra, Karl Denson and Tiny Universe, Deep Banana Blackout, Spearhead, Ozomatli, Particle, The Big Wu, The Slip, and Carlos Washington’s Giant People.

Ari proudly uses EAR earplugs and highly recommends their products.
